Hunter's Hall Inn, Kingscote, Gloucestershire

The Hunters Hall Inn near Tetbury sits in the village of Kingscote, in the heart of the Cotswolds and only a short distance from Tetbury, Stroud and Cirencester, the old Roman capital of Britain, with easy access from the A46 and A4135. The earliest record of the Hunters Hall was in 1604 when it comprised a house, an inn, stables and a smith's shop. Early in the 20th century, entertainment and dances were held above the stables. Today, the Hunters Hall continues to be a social centre, serving both the local community and travellers. The Hunters Hall has a wealth of charm and character, enhanced by beamed ceilings and open fires. Inside it is still the perfect picture of an old English inn, with stone-flagged floors, blackened beams, great stone hearths with smoke-darkened oak lintels and ancient cast-iron firebaskets and firebacks, huge wooden settles, shooting prints, old guns on brackets and oak plank tables. It's in a great location for exploring the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside -Westonbirt Arboretum is just down the road and Highgrove House can be found nearby also Badminton House home the world famous Badminton 3 Day Event is only a short drive away

At J13 of the M5 follow the A46 for Stroud, then the Bath road, passing through Nailsworth. Continue for 4 miles until the traffic lights where you follow the A4135 (signposted Dursley). The hotel is on the left after approximately 1 mile.

Accommodation

The 13 modern well appointed rooms are all en suite and are located in a separate building, which was once the stables and blacksmiths shop. All rooms have TV, telephone, hairdryer, iron/ironing board and tea/coffee making facilities. We also have an easy access room with wet room. Free Wifi.

Functions & Conferences

Hunter's Hall can accommodate up to 36 people for private functions, small weddings and meetings.

There are three comfortable old oak beamed bars with a wealth of original features and open fires, offering a mouth watering selection of light meals and snacks to suit every taste. Relax in here with a pint of traditional ale or a glass of your favourite wine. In the warmer months, you can eat outside in the large garden and enjoy the beautiful countryside.
