Greene King has been brewing beer and running pubs for over 200 years.
Based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, Greene King and has grown steadily to become a leading brewer and pub retailer.
Our Heritage stems from brewing and a brewery has been on our site since at least 1700. We have a museum that traces the history of brewing in and around Bury St Edmunds from the earliest times, as well as telling the story of Greene and King families who came together in 1887 to form Greene King and Sons ltd. Perhaps it’s our history, which urged us to buy the beautiful properties, which make up the Old English Inns estate.
Our famous cask beers include award winning Greene King IPA, Abbot Ale, Old Speckled Hen and Ruddles County.
